This hydrogen ion produces water, and the hydroge n ion is again reduced to an acid by another hydrogen ion. At this point the reaction can continue until the acid and the hydrogen ion have all been reduced to a single acid and a single hydrogen ion.Oxidation chemistry therefore investigates the chemistry of oxidation reactions in order to gain a better understanding of how these reactions take place. The process of oxidation also allows researchers to study the process of chemical bonding bonds in general. In addition, this type of chemistry can be applied to explore the importance of the reactions between oxidation and dehydration.Redox chemistry examines how oxidation can occur in different organic compounds and this process helps in the discovery of new properties and reactivity. Chemists usually focus on the oxidation of organic compounds as they are very common substances in nature. This will eventually lead to the research of new materials.
